IMPROVING THE COOPERATION BETWEEN PALILULA MINICIPALITY AND FACULTY OF SAFETY (FZRN)

After the invitation of PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municiplaity, the meeting with the Dean and Vice Dean of Faculty of safety - FZNR was organized in Palilula municipal building. Future promotion of the cooperation with the Municipality with this prestigious educational institution, which is located at the territory of Palilula, during this meeting was discussed. This cooperation would be regulated by the signing of protocols on cooperation.

NIS RECITING COMPETITION ORGANIZED
26.03.2009.
Nis competition of pupils reciting their favorite verses, was organized in Nis Cultural Center - NKC for the qualification of the major event - Serbian state reciting competition. The competition was opened by the president of Palilula Municipality. On this occasion president Novakovic sent his wishes and hopes to keep and cherish true values, to strongly fight against trash and primitivism in culture and wished them to be good pupils as they are now.
The reciting competition was organized by 41st time, this year at the territory of the Palilula, with unique motto " Oh, poet of my people!."

COOPERATION WITH “OLD NIS” ASSOCIATION
26.03.2009.
President of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic was visited by the delegation of the Association of citizens "Old Nis" represented by Nikola Dj. Jovanovic, president of this Association. The reason for this meeting is the upcoming event of remembering the fallen victims of bombing of Nis on April 6 1941. The continuation of the cemetery and memorial-complex under Gorica was also another theme for the meeting with the president of Palilula. This all is planned to have been finished by the end of 2009.
The meeting at the Municipality proceeded on the discussion of the concept of organizing traditional event "Palilula Night", famous for its good atmosphere and spirit of old Nis revival.

cleaning activity
of
Gabrovacka
river bed was
organized.
Despite bad weather
conditions, the
inhabitants of this
part of the city
gathered expressing
civic initiative to
prevent
the
pollution of Nišava
River confluents.
With the
motto "Gabrovačka
River -
our river",
within
the world ecological
campaign "Clean up
the World - Clean
Serbia", which
is promoted by
EKOPOLIS

SIGNED AGREEMENT ON
USAID PROGRAMME
IMPLEMENTATION

Aiming at the
improving the system
of management in
emergency situations
on the local level
and reinforcement of
the entrepreneurship
of the young, the
presidents of
thirteen
municipalities of
Serbian south-east
region signed the
Agreement on
cooperation with
American agency for
international
development USAID.
The following
municipalities
joined this
programme activities
worth 19 million
dollar: Babusnica,
Bela Palanka,
Cicevac,
Dimitrovgrad, Gadzin
Han, Knjazevac,
Paracin, Pirot,
Trstenik, Varvarin,
Zitoradja and Nis
city municipalities:
Pantelej and
Palilula. The
participants of this
programme welcomed
city councilor PhD
Zarko Rankovic and
in the name of USAID
Michael Pilisburzy,
director of the
Programme for
planning and
reacting in
emergency situations
and strengthening
economic security.

FREE TRAINING FOR THE BEGINNERS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP BUSINESS
17.03.2009.
Palilula Municipality together with `Regional center for SME development – Nis` will organize free training for the beginners-entrepreneurs and legal entities with the title `How to start own business?`
Press conference was organized with Boban Mikic, member of Palilula municipal council and a councilor responsible for local economic development and implementation of project activities and Vladimir Dodic, director of `Regional center for SME development – Nis`.
Boban Mikic emphasized that this was only one of the activities included in Palilula Municipality attempt to support SME. Next step of Palilula is creating entrepreneurs associations, as well as forming of the Center for entrepreneurship that will be a special organizational unit and will be on full disposal to entrepreneurs.

TWINNING OF SVOGE
AND PALILULA

 Emil Cvetanov, the

Bulgarian
Municipality Svoge (Sofia
districting (www.svoge.bg)
with his associates
visited Palilula
Municipality after
the invitation of
Palilula Municipal
government. The
theme of this
gathering was the
realization of
border cooperation
in 2009 programme,
as well as
discussion on the
project ideas and
potential donor type
projects. The
presidents of two
municipalities Svoge
and Palilula –
Cvetanov and
Novakovic signed
`Twinning
agreement`. This
cooperation, that
has lasted up to now
more than three
years, will be
continued and
improved with new
activities. His
Excellency Georgi
Jurukov, the general
consul of the
Republic of Bulgaria
in Nis, expressed
his satisfaction
with the results
both sides have
reached so far and
with the degree of
mutual cooperation.

to March 6 in Bled,
Slovenia.
How to improve the

the state government
and how to use
efficiently pre
-inaugural Eu funds?
The answers to these
and many other
questions of the
realization of the
state administration
reform second phase
of Republic of
Serbia, the group of
Slovenian
participants –
experts from the
sphere of
governmental
services, gave the
answers. The
representatives of
Serbian local
governments, public
institutions and
communal enterprises
were introduced with
the sublimated
models, concrete
principles and
practice of
establishing
efficient
administration,
including EU
standards, together
with the Republic of
Slovenia comparing
examples, as well as
current models of EU
administration work.

TRAINING FOR THE BEGINNERS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP BUSINESS

Palilula Municipality together with `Regional center for SME development – Nis` will organize free training for the beginners-entrepreneurs and legal entities with the title `How to start own business?`
All the interested entrepreneurs and legal entities, i.e. people of the age up to 40, who had registered their own companies before June 1 2008 and intend to apply for START-UP crediting over the Fund for development for the year 2009, will be able to attend this training.
Entrepreneurs and legal entities who want to go through the training can come to Public service center, Palilula Municipality for filling out the application form. The training will take place from the April this year.

CLEAN UP SERBIA – ACTION ANNOUNCED
02.03.2009.
Before the beginning of the action CLEAN UP SERBIA the meeting with the mayors and the presidents of the municipalities was organized on March 2 this year in Belgrade. The delegation of the City of Nis together, with the representatives of three Nis municipalities: Mediana, Palilula and Pantelej, was present at this meeting.
Oliver Dulic, minister of Environment and spatial planning ministry emphasized that the activity `Clean up Serbia` was started by this Ministry and the Government of the Republic of Serbia is under the coordination of the Ministry and that this action was presented like one of its major priorities. `We have gathered here to clean our country.

THE INITIATIVE FOR “BUBANJ” MEMORIAL PARK RECONSTRUCTION STARTED
02.03.2009.
After the invitation of PhD Novakovic, the president of Palilula Municipality, the meeting for Memorial park `Bubanj` reconstruction was held. Dragan Kreckovic, vice manager of `Institute of urban planning` public enterprise with associates, Dejan Davidoski, the representative of biking club `Zeleznicar` and Slobodan Gejo, the representative of mountaineer-alpine-expedition club `Nis`, Srdjan Nonic, the representative of sport club `Oxygen` and Milos Vukotic were all present at this meeting.
At the meeting the possibilities of Memorial park `Bubanj` were discussed and those reconstructing possibilities will not in any case ruin or destroy the basic meaning of this place, but only will refine this place that has educational dimension for its final objective.
Igor Novakovic, the president, called the representatives of sport clubs to submit in short period of time the written suggestions on this park reconstruction, since the further procedure is to address to the city authorities for making necessary conditions for park reconstruction.
